State’s 15th medical college will open in Supaul district of Bihar, 603 crore will be spent

A new Government Medical College Hospital will be built in the Supaul district of Bihar. In this, approval has been given for the construction of new Lohia Medical College Hospital in Supaul. For this, administrative approval of the scheme has been received for a total of Rs 603 crore 68 lakh in the financial year 2022-23. So far, the work of setting up 14 medical colleges in the state is in the pipeline. In this, approval has already been given for Sitamarhi, Samastipur, Chhapra, Siwan, Buxar, Jamui, Bhojpur, Mahua (Vaishali), Jhanjharpur (Madhubani), Purnia, Motihari, Munger and Begusarai.

So far, 12 medical college hospitals have been recognized in the state in the government sector. Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Department, Dr S Siddhartha said that a plan of Rs 957 crore has been approved by the cabinet to remove the water logging in the capital during rains.
